Custodian needed in Ottawa

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Custodian responsible for a wide range of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. This role involves the use of cleaning and maintenance equipment, and adherence to health and safety standards. Flexibility for overtime and shift work is required.

Typical Duties:

• Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, windows, and floors.
• Minor repairs to buildings and equipment.
• General grounds maintenance and snow removal.

Qualifications:

• G class driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance and cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Skills:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
